Defence Art Skills Program is designed to bring creative practise into everyday life. It's open to any current serving Australian Defence Force personnel and their families in WA.
The Veteran Art Skills Program is supporting RSLWA Active and aligned ESOs in building a creative community.
Connecting the veteran community, it brings creative practise into everyday life. These programs are available to any Veteran based in Western Australia, and is driven by RSLWA Active Program.
We have four venues for 2026 veteran courses and will share a calendar of the program in May.
"Firstly the materials - what a great range, it is perfect to get started and begin building the collection. This makes it so accessible when you're not sure or are a bit short on cash but would like a creative outlet. Imagine it would be a big outlay, and having the high quality materials makes it so much more enjoyable - is worth the outlay, but might be something you would hesitate on if unsure about the hobby. A+ here!! Now the tuition, wow, absolutely fantastic! Jane's style and nature is fantastic! The demonstrations are wonderful and the atmosphere she creates enables you to explore in a safe-to-fail environment so you can build your skills with constructive and kind feedback. The flexibility and kindness she brought to class was so beneficial to make it a safe and enjoyable environment and she was so fantastic at encouraging people to grow their skills and try new things."
